Start with solid color pieces and then add neutral or complimentary colors. Off whites, grays and beiges look good with any setting. Add texture in form of accessories or the outfit itself. Examples are knitted woolens, khakis, denims or frills. If you like patterns then choose plaids, stripes or polka dots to make your portraits timeless!

Whatever you choose, make sure its clean and ironed. Do not worry about the style too much as simplicity always wins.
