Welcome

As a woman and a professional portrait photographer, I understand that being in front of the camera can be a daunting task. But a great portrait can be made by just following a few suggestions which work for everyone irrespective of age or gender.
Stay natural
The biggest advantage babies and children have to get great portraits is they stay natural even in front of the camera. It may be difficult for us adults but looking away from the camera or holding something, be it your child's hand, or your hands or a part of your dress may help take some of the pressure off. The results will look natural and stunning!
Add neutrals
For a timeless look in your portrait, gravitate towards a color palette with some neutrals in your wardrobe. Start with solid colors or neutrals, then add texture with accessories like knitted sweaters or with the outfit itself like corduroy or denims. This will add layers and give interest without taking the focus away from you.
Be minimal
To keep the focus on you and your loved ones in the portraits, keep the background clutter free. If it's outdoors make sure that there are not many people behind you in the frame. If indoors use a plain wall as the backdrop. Same can be true for wardrobe by avoiding outfits with logos or bold patterns.
Suggestions not Rules
These are just suggestions and not rules. So just go for the moment and the expression as nothing is as important as to Celebrate YOU!
During your portrait session with me, you will be guided through all the flattering poses but priority is always the authentic expression and a relaxed session.
